The one thing that can really allow you to excel in a campaign to tell the truth, is the support of those, with which you have the most in common. Those most articulate of people, in high places, with a wealth of knowledge and skills, to deal with those who have no voice. Allowing people with mental disabilities and others who suffer homophobia, to realise, that they are there, ready to strike at the earliest opportunity. These things will not be tolerated in this day and age.
The agreement to act for those less able has astonished and humbled me. I am truly amazed at, what can be achieved with a pen and paper. Words are important to them, as they are to me. Contacting various ambassadors, actors, Members of Parliament and other more, altogether, intriguing channels of communication, has been so explosive and dynamic, that even I was taken aghast. I think they used to call it lobbying in my day. When one expresses ones views, in a manner conducive to reply, one can see past the agents, their minions, secretaries and get straight to the top. The top is good! Speaking to probably, the most famous person I have ever spoken too, on a Saturday. A call made to me, out of the blue was really empowering, but then he used that word himself. Asking exactly what he could do, I explained the circumstances. Unlike most professions, he didn't seem surprised, since the industry he works in is full of such characters. He has even dealt with a few himself!
The passion in his voice, comes not from what he doesn't understand, because none of us do, but from the common denominator in all these cases. If you are experienced in something you hold dear, as a reason to fight for those with no voice, you immediately appeal to their own ego's and desire to do the right thing. To be honest what is correct, is always transparent and above the laws of the jungle. Despite his current success in the Arts, everyone starts somewhere. To be aware of your past, is to be aware of your future, Justice must prevail, in order to preserve the dignity of those who currently feel disassociated and without enough leverage to change, what needs to be done, at this time!
These incidence occur more and more frequently, in the most unlikely of places, from the humble Chip Shop to the biggest corporate junta, words of disgust and blasphemy ring loud in the ears of those who allow such distasteful lies to manifest. As human beings, whether, famous or not, homosexual or straight, black or white, or rich over poor, we have a duty to help those who need our support, to rid our lives, mundane enough as they are, of the oxygen for survival, a structure, out of control.
Various plans of action have been discussed, two of which, will be started on Wednesday, of next week. Myself and a dear friend and advocate, have actually been invited to an informal breakfast meeting in London. We will explore all options to achieve the maximum exposure for our growing campaign, born of distrust and vulnerability. God he actually listened, how pleasing is that. We owe him a great debt and will ensure that we work harder than ever to solve the problems, we bare so much, everyday of our lives!
We have an end goal to reach and we will not give up until we are heard. Never again should anyone full victim to those who seek to harm and cause maximum damage to anyone charged with their employment and future advancement. No one is above the law and all of us our equal in the eyes of God. Diverse groups of individuals who seek change, today and always!
