The room was stark, beige, no colour at all. It was grubby and dirty. The walls were dripping brown lines of what looked like nicotine. I was sat on a mattress. Battleship grey with holes in. Depressed and alone, I hated it. I Just wanted to walk away.
I got up, looked around the room. Suddenly it was bright green, a vivid mint pea colour, everywhere. Walls, doors and ceiling. There was a sparkle in the air. The walls sparkled with diamante strings. Like droplets of dew on a cold winters morning, catching cobwebs in the morning sun, flickers of light bounced off walls, so green like a freshly cut meadow.
From the corner of my eye, I notices a familiar face, juggling tiny black rubber balls, higher and higher they went. As my eyes followed the balls, reaching ever higher, that familiar face, took the last two balls between his fingers and popped each one in turn. Sparkly, glitter, like powder, burst forth, covering the room with explosions of joy and happiness. Everything was beautiful, sparkly and bright!
Suddenly the room filled with everyone, who had ever entered my life. A freak show of friends, family, the familiar and the foolish.. I was happy, happy to be alive. Joyous and elated and full of life. The room was filled with laughter and gospel type music, sung by a trio friends, who shall remain nameless. Dancing, madness and ecstasy!
I stood up, smiled, dusted myself down and headed towards the door. Brown, rusty barbed wire appeared, down both arms. Ewe, I thought. And started brushing off the constraints. I took a step closer to the door and bugger me some bright, golden rapper like chains connected my arms to my chest, just like a contortionist and I had to get free. I blew, just slightly, blew on the chains and they fell off, onto the green floor and vanished as quick as they arrived.
I reached the door, it was locked. Padlocked, crook locked, bolted and nailed shut. Aha I thought about this properly. The door wasn't going to get me like the chains. Quickly I opened the door from the other side. The door tried to trick me, it didn't work! bingo it opened.
The other side wasn't nice to be fare, so I slammed it shut and continued to play in the circus, in this strange house, with familiar faces and happy people.
Then I woke up!
