This is the toughest of circumstances for us. Both our health has deteriorated to dangerous levels. With little or no support, except from the most generous and loving group of friends, one could ever ask for, we have managed to save the one day, that had been booked in our diary for a generation, our 20 year anniversary and legal Marriage together.
We are both fighters and thrive in the worst of times, bringing us closer together, always, but even we haven't experienced such hardship, heartache and illness, in all our years together.
After taking advice, we have decided to leave The UK, for reasons of security and to forget the awful times, so we can move forward, without the memories that so haunt us both. This is a huge step for us, but now is the perfect time. Nothing gets worse than this.
So our Wedding on 22 September 2015, will be the end of our life here together, now so tainted. It will also signal a new, as yet unwritten, final chapter in our relationship together. We are fortunate to have a dear friend, our Gay son, Jay Greaves, living with us and helping us through these dark times. He has decided he wants to remain with us, whatever the circumstances, so we can all move forward together as friends, family and a stable, loving unit, sharing the dreams, aspirations, hurdles and barriers yet to come.
Today I have finished the programme for our special day. It will go to the printers in a few days. This signals the beginning of the end of our doubts and will push us forwards in all respects to resolve this undignified, long lasting and debilitating situation.
Thank you to everyone for all your support, especially over these last six months. All of you got us through. Older, greyer, certainly shadows of our former selves, in poor health, but happy to remain together and look forward to our Marriage and new life in Spain.
