Just got back from Sainsbury's. In keeping with my new Continental theme, I splashed out on something a little different from Rustler's Burgers and oven chips. Couscous, olives, as well as something a little more British, Scones, cream and Jam. That should at least sort the hunger pains out for a while!
Apparently, Sainsbury's have the best boxes for packing. So I spent an embarrassing half an hour, while Jason went round removing boxes from the Fruit and vegetable display. So a trip out to the supermarket cost us £48. Somehow, I think it was false economy, but what do I know, I'm just a poor judge of character and an even worse manager of money!
This will be the 24th move for me, since I came to Southampton in 1992. I have to say, I have grown less and less fond of packing and moving.
This will be the last move of significance for us. Moving to another Country for the third time in our life together. The other two occasions were a disaster and didn't work, this time, it has too!
We are still packing a pace. Everything is being boxed and moved into the Dining room. Car Boot sale next week to get rid of the bulk and have to clear one of the rooms upstairs tonight, for Jay moving in tomorrow!
Just wanted to say at this point, a word about my health at this time. Well I'm feeling great, normal if you like. In many respects, despite, the stress of moving, this extraordinary time in my life, has finally given me something to focus on, motivation and determination to right a wrong!
We have a few more Family Album's to finger our way through, before our 'Retirement Day', and I am sure those clothes will be well used before that date.
It is kind of nice having a little time out now. Time to pack, go through old memories, lay some old grudges to rest, sadly rekindle a few others and finally spend some quality time with those who have been with us, through all of the pain and anger we have suffered.
The friends we have in our life are certainly less than they were, but the ones that are left are truly fantastic! If you haven't been round yet, make sure you do before we leave, as we have gifts for each and everyone of you!
Was nice to see Natalee last night. She is working like a Trojan at the moment, so don't see a lot of her. I was able to pass on a few gifts for Nat, that she can use to remember the good and not so good times.
Awww, loves you Natalee. Be a hard wrench leaving the good ones, like you, but at least we know you will be here should we fail at the first hurdle!
