14 days and counting!
£45.00, for a shirt. Disgusting!
Hadn't been to Hedge End in a while, so Imagine my surprise, when I saw an old friend working there. Melanie Cooper. She got a job there soon after we started college in Fareham in 1987, and has remained there ever since!
Always good to catch up!
Only 14 days to go until Wedding day. I'm still not feeling it, thus far. Probably with everything that has been going on, it has really just taken second place.
We had to go out today to get Wedding shirts. Only a few more bits to get now and, with time moving quickly, we popped out to Marks and Spencer in Hedge End. To be honest, we shouldn't have bothered. Wedding or not, I am not paying £45.00 for one shirt.
People of my generation, have way too much money and will pay any price for, even the worst quality items. To be honest, Marks and Spencer's quality has gone right down hill anyway. I do not say that lightly, as someone who used to shop at M&S, all the time, when I had the money of course!
Personally I think those at the top of Marks are abusing their loyal customer base and good nature. Just because people have the money. That either makes people stupid or Marks and Spence very astute and ruthless in their exploitation and pursuit of their target demographic.
Rant over, I went else where to waist my money!
Good old Moss Bros!
After all this slagging off of Marks and Spencer and probably libeling myself, I think I best move on.
Anyway, we went back into town and went back to Moss Bros. Sadly no Jack Yallop today, so we had no discount. That is more Jason's kind of statement. If he can get it on the cheap he will do, even after the Million Pound lottery win. Jason through and through, wouldn't change him for the world.
All I can say, is, If Moss Bros can do a shirt for £25.00, why can't you M&S?
Dale Douglas has bought around the final draft for the Wedding Programme, before printing in a few days.
There have been a few last minute changes and I am sure most people are aware of, but nothing we haven't been able to cope with.
It's funny! If we had listened to other people in the past, we would have realised, exactly who the troubled ones in our life were. Well we found that out on Saturday night, and I can't say I'm surprised. So, because of a lie from someone who needs help, we will have no Wedding Cake. No matter, that is not what our Marriage is about, although the organisation of this event, has been done under very similar circumstances, as to the way our time together has gone. Disorganised, but a laugh a minute!
